Meet Carolyn, Intuitive Artist

Carolyn is practically a native of Eden, having lived here since she was 4 years old. Her interests include horticulture and garden design, as well as intuitive art. Some years ago, Carolyn took part in a workshop on mandala drawing. She loved this form of drawing and quickly adapted it to her own style. Carolyn's mandala drawings are beautiful, vibrant representations of the energy of a person or situation. She has done drawings for newborn babies, newly married couples, businesses and individuals. Each drawing is unique, and a pleasure to look at.

If you would like to order a drawing, or for more details, email Carolyn at carolyns-creations@hotmail.com.

Onions are cheaper at Bennett's Store

You can find a bit of everything at Bennett's - ice, petrol, newspapers, cat food, milk, smokes, and even hot lamb rolls. The average onion will cost you about 10 cents, which is about 1/4 of what you'd pay at BiLo.

Bennett's is across the road from the Garden of Eden Caravan Park, and the only shop within easy walking distance of the southern end of town. The friendly owners are Ian and Betty Spencer, who have run the shop for 25 years and who have been married to each other for over 50. Ian says he is proud of that, not too many people stay married that long.

Automotive mechanic wanted at Fraser Motors

The "Position Vacant" sign has appeared in front of Fraser Motors. Apparently they are looking for a mechanic for the summer, to handle the tourist season rush.

Fraser Motors is a Ford and Toyota car dealership. They used to sell Mitsubishi cars and still provide Mitsubishi service, in addition to servicing the Fords and Toyotas and anything else on wheels which comes through the door.

There are 4 mechanics and one auto electrician currently working in their large, clean and modern workshop, headed by service manager John Deborre.

In addition to servicing, parts and sales, the dealership also acts as an NRMA outlet, providing emergency service and all the usual facilities you expect from an NRMA office.

Contact details are:
address: 137-145 Imlay Street, Eden 2551.
Phone: 02 6496 1529

Eden Primary School 150 years old and still great!

Eden Primary is a small friendly school with good staff headed by John Davidson, the principal. The grounds are set on the ocean side of the main street, so the children have beautiful views of the sea from the playground.

The school celebrated it's 150th anniversary in 2007. Eden Primary was one of the first schools established in New South Wales. The original building is still part of the school, and a huge old fig tree still grows on the grounds.
